  • - Punk On A Rock

I got there at about 4:30, and the show starts at 5.
It wasn’t a long wait, because we were treated with the entertainment of a few little kids running around and/or sitting on the dance floor.

First up was Crack Skull. It supposed to be The 86 List, but some last minute changes…
They were ok. and I only say that because they did a cover of The 86 List’s Disaster, and that was the best song that they played durring their set. Their Part-Time Drummer/Part-Time Wannabe Singer, just flat out sucks, mainly at the wannabe singing part. The guy even tried to do a stage dive and crowd surf, but he just ended up slaming into an unsuspecting stupid emo/sceanster kid, falling on him and knocking him to the ground. It looked like said emo sceanster was hurt and in pain as he was helped up. haha.

Next was Valient Thorr… Oooh, what did I do to deserve this tourcher? These guy’s SUCKED! Seriously, even Ashlee Simpson would have been more enjoyable than these guys. How can I put it nicely, Valient Thorr Sucks the Suck of All Sucks, and Blows Like the Wind, and all at the same time! The guys were just dumb. These guys need to be sent on an express rocket straight to the Sun, pronto. It was quite obvious that these guys have smoked wayy too much crack in their life. They were just a bunch of drunk old guys, who are stuck in the 70′s, trying to preach their b.s. to these idiot, conformist, sceansters. i.e. They all sat down around him, when he was telling everyone in the whole place to get down. Well, I didn’t sit down for his stupid b.s. that he started preaching to them(the idiot conformist sceansters) after they listened to him and sat down.
And earlier in their set, at one point he was also like right there infront of me, and singing and pointing to a couple people, then he pointed to me, and I just stood there, giving him a blank stare.

    OOOOH SET!!!!!!! BLEEDING THROUGH!!!!!
Ah! They were soooo Awesome!!! They opened with Revenge I Seek, which wasn’t much of a surprise. Since the first time I ever heard that song, I knew the begining of it was the epitimy of “get the circle pit going!” songs/music.
And then right after that they played Love Lost In A Hail Of Gunfire. WhoaMyGosh! and This Is Love, This Is Murderous. Ahh, It was great. Everybody was rockin out.
They played a few new songs and a few old songs.
Then they ended with On Wings Of Lead, it was just…to put it plain and simple… Amazeing.

Good Riddance was next, they were cool. But it’s hard to follow an act thats as great as the one that Bleeding Though just put on. So, I don’t have much to say about this one. But I still gotta give um props.

Andrew W.K. was the headliner, but forget him. I just left after Good Riddance was finished, though, not without first buying Bleeding Through’s Wolves Among Sheep DVD.
yeah… Valient Thorr just overloaded me with all the Suck to last a lifetime, I couldn’t chance any more Suckage tonight, or I’d be chanceing spontainiously combusting into a billion peices, right there, in the middle of his first song…

Well, the reason why I went to the show was just for Bleeding Through, and they ended up being the only ones worth seeing. They soo should have headlined it. Who ever is the one who set up the card, is an idiot for not doing so. and an even bigger idiot for getting Valient Thorr.

I went to sleep at like 3:30 last night, and then I woke up at about 10:30 today.

To the mall… Game Stop. giving back PGR3. I enjoyed it. I don’t see why they couldn’t get it to run at 60fps, It would have looked soo much better. but aside from that, the game gets pretty fast. Supposedly, all the cars can go at least 170mph, and a few can even break 220mph. It really is fun, but not fun enough for me to really want to buy it. Once again, as it is in all raceing (or sports) games, everybody is all, “Oooh, the Ferrari F50 GT is the fastest car in the game, so thats the car that I’m going to use every time.” I hate that, especially since I was haveing a lot of fun in the Dodge Viper SRT-10 Carbon.
Another gripe I have with the game is that it doesn’t have a Corvette ZO6 in it, (it has the C6 and a Z01) or any TransAm’s. I want a FireHawk! and speaking of F-body’s, I don’t think it even has a bitchin’ Camero in it either.

So now I got Quake 4.

Then I headed to the Kailua GameStop to see if they had anything that I wanted. I get there and they don’t even have a freggin clue what the heck the marketplace points are, they’ve never even heard of it before. AWWRH! I hate how they got idiots who don’t know anything working there. Thats why I want to work at Game Stop, because I think at least one person working there should actually know something….
The good news is that I got the VGA cable. They had to call up the Windward Mall store, to confirm that I work there, James answered, and described me to the guy with the words, “tall and scary looking.”

The VGA adapter is pretty good. You can really tell the differance with how clear the words are on Halo 2, and even the icons. But other than that, I don’t really notice that much of a differance with the clarity in the in-game world, except that it looks like it brings out the jaggies a little bit. In the end, the games do look a little better in 720p, but not as much as you would have hoped for or expected. I’d say it’s not worth the 40 dollar sticker price, but about 10 dollars off of that…. then, It’s still a little steep… but I guess it’s worth it, especially if you have a pretty nice computer moniter (mines = 21″ CRT) and you don’t have a HDTV.

Then Before I went to Punk On A Rock at Pipeline Cafe, I stoped at Ala Moana’s Software Ect.. So I could get some marketplace points. They ended up only having 1 in stock, so I just took that one.

    And finally, The Show.

  • - Friday, December 9, 2005

Ok, soo, just pretty much playing PGR3 today. and then, Spades, Hearts and Backgammon, just got released for download. So I’ve been playing Spades. I got addicted to that game for a while on the computer, some time ago.

Work. No more A.J. aka Andrew, or Wade. oh, and Kim is the new lead staff for the ushers… I blame this recent batch of b.s. on Terry. Why is it, that this job just manages to keep sucking more and more, as time goes on. And she’s just trying to use this as a stepping stone to be a projectionist.
fudge, she sucks, pulled a “Jon” tonight. durring the last run, I cleaned 6 theatres by myself. And on the other 4, I still cleaned, but there were other people there too.
Narnia was in the two biggest auditoriums, and it was selling out, just about every show.

On my break I went to Game Stop to use my 25% this weekend. I bought a wired controler, and a xbox360 live 12 month starter kit. I saved about 28 bucks.
I also wanted to get the VGA cable and 3 or 4 marketplace point cards, but they didnt have either of those.

  • - Thursday, December 8, 2005

So I got up at 6:25 this morning, cause we had an employee screening of Narnia at the cinema.
Wakeing up that early, was worth it, just because going there was just another excuse to ride.

Sooo, The Chronicals Of Narnia, one very over-hyped movie, that does not live up to it.
It was entertaining enough, but I’d rate it under Doom.

After the movie, I waited about 25 mins for Game Stop to open. To give back Call Of Duty 2, and sign out Tony Hawk. Call Of Duty is a very good game. It’s the best WWII game I have ever played since Medal Of Honor on the PSone. It’s even better than Medal Of Honor. The single player game is just awesome, but the multiplayer isn’t as great. It could have been great if they just set it up better. You can’t choose from a list of servers to join, it just puts you in a random one. If only there was a game with the quality of Call Of Duty 2′s single player and the quality of Perfect Dark Zero’s multiplayer….

    I saw Ranson.

Went home, and played Tony Hawk for a little bit before I had to go to class. When finished parking my bike and just started to walk away, some guy yelled out to me, “eh, bra, thats a nice bike ya got there.” I turn around, and its Jeff!!! Jeff the maintainance guy from Damien. I bet Bruce was the one driving the truck he was in. haha. He see’s me and he’s all like, “hey! that’s what’s his, uhh…! big country!” hahaha.

So, it was a pretty easy class. Just a couple simple things, and then a quick course evaluation, and I was out of there by 12.

Then I wasted my time by stoping over at Windward, for something should have done a long time ago, cause now I can’t.

Home, and played T.Hawk for a while. Wow, does that game suck or what. It’s not even much of an improvement over T.Hawk 4. I was expecting at least bigger levels. Online, it’s ok, but It doesn’t have a migrateing host feature, which I think every online game should be required to have.
So, took it back at like 9:00pm. and I signed out PGR 3.

  • :: Saturday, December 10 :: Punk On A Rock :: with Andrew WK, Good Riddance, Bleeding Through, Valient Thorr and The 86 List ::
OH SET! I can’t wait to see Bleeding Through!

….now if only Never Heard Of It would come here…

  • - Wednesday, December 7, 2005 -64 yrs later…

Ok….. School….. Just History class….. Last class. Final is on Monday at 11:30.
At least I got to ride to school today. Filled up the tank, $7.78 at $2.71? a gallon.

Oh, and I went to Satilite City hall to ask them about a liscense plate. The lady I was talking to was beeing sooo gh3y.

Got to annoy Travis and his friend on Call Of Duty 2.

Work at GameStop. 4-9. It was cool. I got to take the uber cool service elevator. The kind that you gotta open and close the doors for. That was one of the highlights of my night.

If I wake up early enough, I’ll be watching, The Chronicals Of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, tomorrow morning.

SOTD: Dead Wake – Never Heard Of It
    H/M: ok/better than the past two days…

  • - Monday, December 5, 2005

Got up at 10, due to my mom telling me to get up, so Cortney could give me a ride to school.
My mom left to take my aunty and amanda to the airport.
I told Cortney that she could just leave, and I said that I could ride my bike.
But I didnt go to class anyways, I just needed to give myself a day off.

So, now I’m just spending this day, wasteing time on the computer and xbox.

SOTD: Kill To Believe – Bleeding Through

    - Sunday, December 4, 2005

Work at 9:15, I didnt get to stand around and do nothing, till 12:30, like I’ve done for the past 3 sundays. Cause Kelly wasnt working today, So I had to stand podium. It was pretty much a long and wasted day today. I didnt see anybody worthy enough for me to try to give the free movie pass to, but then again, most of the time I was stuck at the podium.

Captain Christmas showed up at 4, and Noa was the one on the schedual for podium, so Bruce didnt want to stand there. I heard he went into the women’s bathroom again. haha.

Ooh, and I got rained on, while taking the trash out. It was nice.

After work, I had to go to GameStop for a meeting at 6. It ended at like 6:45, Then I signed out NBA 2K6.

And that was just about my whole day. Spent the rest of it playing NBA 2K6.

SOTD: Ruins – The 86 List

    - Saturday, December 3, 2005

So, there was a 7:45am meeting at work. I probably wouldn’t have woken up for it if it wasn’t for my dad being annoying and telling me something that woke me up.
I thought this was one of teh more “productive” meetings we had, being that I thought all the other’s were a complete waste of time. I actually got to have some fun in this meeting….

They handed out a survey for us to do. About two pages of statements with a selection spot for you to choose 1-5, from strongly agree to strongly dissagree. I just put all the worst possible things down.  i.e. I look forward to comeing to work: 5-Strongly Dissagree. haha.

The best part was at the end they had a part for additional comments, where you could wright down anything you wanted. So I’m all like,
“Regal Entertainment Group both Sucks Out Loud, and Blows Like the Wind, at the same time. This job freggin sucks. The managers are idiots (Rene, Terry Herman, and Shaun Mullen). But not Alwin, He’s awesome. I hate this place, It’s so gay. Everyone doesnt do s***, It’s because of this bull s*** that makes me want to go postal. F***.
    Love, Dion.”
Ahh, yes, that is what made this meeting worth while.
anyways, we were told, that we can’t have anymore Icee’s. We can only have popcorn and fountain drinks while on our break. Use anymore cups, we have to bring our own, So I think I’ll bring in one of those, “super-double-ultra-mega-big Big Gulp” cups from 7-11, and just waste their soda. We were also told that we can’t be throwing cups from the top row into the trash can. And no cell phones on you, when working.
The meeting was 2 hours. I just came home afterwards.

Had to work at 5. Still throwing cups, and holding onto the cell phone. I spent pretty much my whole shift just standing at the podium. After closeing, then I had to do all the freggin work that all the other stupid usher’s didnt do. I stayed till 11:45.

Oh, and Bruce aka “Captain Christmas” was standing at the podium, he said he was off at 5. We looked at the schedual and he wasnt schedualed for today. I asked Alwin about it and he said he was working for free. haha. Later Mino and I were looking for him on the computer to see if he was on the clock, and we couldnt even find his name on the computer. lol. It’s like the guy on Office Space. haha.

Returned Amped 3, It was an ok game. As far as the Gameplay goes, its a lot more forgiving than in Amped 2. You can be landing sideways and still stick it, It basically does all the flipping and turning for you, They tried makeing it alot more easy to pick up and play. But I really prefer Amped 2′s gameplay and physics over this one. ‘cept that I was fine with the new trick system, which is maped out to the face buttons and sequences of the buttons12.
The soundtrack was ok, they had some bands like, Boys Night Out, the Junior Varsity, Emery, and a few other noteable bands which I am drawing a blank on right now.
The presentation/story part of the game was great. There were some aspects of it that was kind of dumb, pop, already seen that, kind of stuff in there. But It looks like Indy Built had a lot of fun makeing this game, so I just gotta give them props for that.

    - Friday, December 2, 2005

Got up at 10:30. Went to class, got to ride. Thought about going to get my ticket for Punk On A Rock, but decided to just go on tuesday, when I have to be on that side anyways.
And In History class, he showed us a stupid video. we also had a quiz. but come on, Nobody wants to watch a video on the Tele. Use the film projector.

Just came home and did nothing untill I had to go to work.

    Work. uhhh….
Theres this psycho weirdo new guy. Apperently, yesterday when he was working, he went into the women’s restroom 3 times…. So they stuck him at the podium. Then he put on the santa hat, and he got named “captain christmas”. He kept leaveing the podium to get drinks or what ever. He even just left the podium to use the bathroom, and after he came out, russle sent him home. haha. Quite a bit of people got sent home, because the theatre went over budget with the hours the last 2 weeks with good ol’ H.P..

It was a pretty slow day today too.

On my break I went over to longs to look for nail polish, for Lizzie. Why is it that, since I’m a guy thats looking at all the nail polish, people start thinking that I work there and I couldnt possibly be getting it for myself?

Last day for free Icee’s and eating spoilage.

My Aunty from california and her granddaughter is here.

    - Thursday, December 1, 2005

School. Rode. It was the usual class, do a few simple things that’ll take like not even 10 mins and spend an hour doing it.
    Reading Radio Active Panda.
Some jerk on his stupid lil honda nighthawk wannabe motorcycle parked right behind me, So I couldn’t get out the way I came into the space, and I had to move an effin big rock out of the way for me to leave.

Awrh! I hooked up my Super NES to play some Street Fighter II Turbo with my new controler, and my system isnt working correctly. The picture is all messed up on the screen.

Nothing else, ‘cept, Mandy is evil.

    - Wednesday, November 30, 2005

Ahhh, what a sort of full day, that was planed for me. Though, I fell through on a few of them. Today was Mrs. McCleallen’s (sp?) funeral, but I didn’t go. I had school, dentist, and work as an excuse.

    School, History Class, the usual.

Rode over to the mall after, to go check if I’m on next week’s schedual at GameStop. I work next week Wednesday. And while I was there, Chris asked me if I could work tonight, 5-10. I said yes.
Then I went to the “cinema” to pick up my paycheck.

I had a dentist apointment at 3. Shnap, that was fast. Getting one filling. He tried doing it with out giving me any shots at first. and yeah, it wasn’t hurting or anything, but I’d rather get a shot and not have to worry the whole time about if something he does is gonna hurt.
AWWRH, he gave me 3 freggin shots, one of them hurt, and then he spent like a total of like not even more than 25 seconds to do all the drilling or what evers. The whole thing took barely 5 minutes.

Had to come home, get ready for my first day at GameStop, and leave.
So it was ok, I guess. The only thing is that my mouth was numb for half the shift.
I got to do the annoying greeting work.
One guy came in with a Super Nintendo Fighting/Arcade Stick controler. He wanted to get store credit but the store doesnt take SNES stuff anymore. So I just bought it from him for 9 bucks.
Saw one of the people we gave a “signed” poster away to, on sunday. He said he through it away, because it was signed by one of us, and not Nicolas Cage.
I got to check out a game, so I signed out Amped 3.

    - Tuesday, November 29, 2005

School, we had a quiz today. I sucked at it.

I don’t remember anything else that happened today.
