I knew what is was about beforehand. But i have the book it's based on. They didn't mention or even hint that the movie follows a gay kid because then barely anyone would see it. I really quite enjoyed the movie. And yeah, that part was priceless. He was easliy one of the funniest characters in the movie. His and Hopes scenes together were too funny.
